Diana Biotecnologies is a unique Czech biotechnology company specializing in the development of innovative products and services in the field of clinical diagnostics and new drugs. Their product Guardiana is a new generation PCR test from saliva. Invasive nasal swabs are a thing of the past.
My responsibilty was to create and maintain design of user application and laboratory panel from first specification to product deployment. As part of the project, I designed two web applications to digitize all of the client's needs. I was responsible for user experience and user interface of the apps. I was working on the project as product designer colaborating with product manager, developers and Guardiana team.
Maximum effort was put in, and within two months we created a pilot version of the application. The client put time pressure on the project, so we together identified the most crucial functionalities and released the first version in a very short time.
Order sampling kit, test yourself or family at home and get results at the same day. All samples are processed on the day of receipt in an accredited laboratory, which has already processed more than 500,000 samples using the PCR method. The person being tested can be confident in the quality and precision.
The design of the application is based on the visual direction of the entire project to maintain market recognition. We designed the application to support the project's serious perception through its visual processing while making it attractive for users. Blue and white. Colors typical for healthcare and also for the Guardian project. The difference is that our application doesn't have an unpopular sterility. Without a robust design system, it would not be possible for such a complex project. We regularly update the entire design system to ensure the sustainability of the design of both applications.
